Kibworth Court Leicestershire
Location and Accomodation

The home has 39 single bedrooms, all of which are spacious and provide en-suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing in their own furnishings and belongings. All bedrooms have a TV ariel point, telephone socket, and a nurse call bell. There are five separate lounges and a large dining room. The garden is set in approximately one acre of land, and there is an enclosed patio area that includes a sensory water feature, flower beds and mature trees.
Philosophy of Care
Kibworth Court’s philosophy of care is to offer the highest standards of holistic care to each resident based on an initial assessment and a regularly updated plan of person centered care; to encourage independence and individuality whilst maintaining privacy and dignity. Individualised care is delivered within a secure, relaxed, homely and conducive environment, where a resident’s physical and psychological care, wellbeing and comfort are of prime importance to both staff and management.
We liaise closely with family and friends, encouraging open two way communication at all times so as to ensure good relationships. It is our hope that for all our residents, Kibworth Court is their “home for life” and in order to uphold this Kibworth is part of the Gold Standards Framework. This ensures, by working in close partnership with the district nurses and other specialist services, we are able to look after residents who have a terminal diagnosis.
Training and Development
We are committed to the training and development of our staff , which enhances the quality of life of our residents. All staff are CRB and ISA checked and receive a comprehensive induction. All complete mandatory training and either hold or are working towards their NVQ level 2 and/or 3 in Health and Social Care. Each member of staff is fully supervised and has an individual learning and development plan which ensures they are fully competent to deliver the highest standard of care in a professional manner.
Staff co-ordinate a daily program of in-house activities which is generated by the residents. This can be anything from reminiscence, current affairs, board games, arts and crafts, quizzes, sound and movement to cake making and decorating, flower arranging, and setting meal tables.
The Home has regular visits by various singers accompanied by keyboard and guitar, and a flautist. Entertainment is also provided by a drama company in the form of musical shows or pantomimes. There is a canal boat trip during the summer months as well as trips to the pub and local shops. There is a Church service held each month in one of the lounges. The hairdresser is a very popular weekly visitor to the home.
Food and nutrition is an important aspect of the care we provide and menus are carefully selected to offer a nutritious, well balanced and healthy diet. Special dietary needs are catered for; birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions are celebrated. All food is cooked on the premises using fresh fruit and vegetables from a local supplier. We pride ourselves on the choice and quality of food we serve.
